I tried putting plants in my 75, but the congos tore them up. I would put them in whichever tank is larger. I would accommodate the fish before the plants, so if that means moving the plants then that's what I would do.

125 - BGK, chanchito cichlid, pictus cats, silver dollars, palmas bichir
125 - cichlids (severums, bolivian rams, chocolate), rainbows ( turquoise, red), loaches (angelicus, zebra, kuhli and horseface), plecos (BN, RL and clown), denison barbs, tiretrack eel, pearl gouramis, betta
90 - Congo tetras, african knife, upside down cats, spotted ctenopoma, kribensis, delhezzi bichir
2.5 - betta

The plants are already in, got a small shoal of rummynose in, a few crs and a gold bristlenose plec, which has been digging already but not uprooted any plants yet! Both tanks are the same volume, the only difference is 1 is long and the other tall

Then the congos should be in the long tank.

Well i have moved them, the deeper tank was still 3.5ft wide anyway so wasnt exactly cramped! But there in there new home and so far there clinging together in a group tighter than normal, a few hours theyll be back to there usual selves
