I was thinking of just taking the filter and heater out, as well as my decorations, but leaving the rocks, water, and fish in there. I might take a little bit of the water out, too. Then just securing a place in my car with the lid on the tank, surrounding the tank with towels and other things so it will not move around at all.
Hey welcome to fishforum.com,
i would suggest removing the heater that will be fine as long as the car temperature is normal on the way home you should be fine. If your gonna remove the filter id maybe suggest to keep it moist so the beneficial bacteria doesnt dry up and die.....juss keep it moist while going home if you can. That way when you get home put the filter back in as soon as possible and have it runnign again.
hope this helps....
