Hi guys!

I am moving house in less than a week and just wondered if anyone has any advice or tips on a moving strategy. Itís a 50 minute journey to my new place and I want to make it as less stressful as possible for my fishes!

I have 6 neon tetras (which are going to be a nightmare to catch!), 4 guppies and a beautiful dwarf gourami,

Any advice would be most appreciated! Thanks!

move the tank last and take as much of the water with you as possible. wrap the filter media in damp paper towels and keep the gravel moist. put the fish in plastic buckets with lids or in plastic bags (kordon breather bags are good if you can get them).

a clean ice chest works really well for moving fish as well. It can hold a lot of water, open and close to allow new air in and will also keep more of a constant temperature inside. If the fish will be in there for awhile you can get a battery powered airpump to throw in there too. I agree with a previous post that you should take the tank down last in your old house and set it up first in your new. Using a stress coat too will help keep them protected as well.
