Simple rule of thumb for me, and other's, is to note that many of the fishes offered for sale are juvenile,or babies and as such,,they appear to me and other's, to benefit from food's high in protein, to encourage faster development along with three or four SMALL feeding's per day.
Once fish approach maturity,, I and other's, do not fret too much about the protein content for the adult fish need less.They can also get by with fewer feeding's. IMHO

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.
