Measurement question

I know how to measure my tank, but when a fish profile reads like tank size:34 inches, what does that mean? its only one measurement?

That's the length or depth of the tank depending on the species being described.

Check out the following web site for lots of handy conversions.

If you scroll down towards the bottom, there is a handy tool where you measure the length, width, and height of your tank, and it will tell you the volume in gallons.
