manzanita wood + betta

Hey all,

I was wondering if I could get some opinions on using manzanita wood in a tank with a betta? I'm working with the wood and im a little concerned about the fins of the ebtta getting caught and torn on the wood. However, I know the wood gets a little less sharp when wet, will that be enough? or should I stick to big pieces of wood without the branchy edges of the manzanita?

I have never know manzanita wood as being sharp. It is a very hard wood and I use it for my parrot since it will hold up to her chewing. I doubt that a betta would injure itself on the wood. The betta would love having some decor that represents a natural environment. :)

Hope this helps,

Natalie
