Making Holes In Flower Pots?

I'm trying to figure out how I can make a centerpiece cave thing out of terra cotta flower pots for my new 5 gallon betta tank. I want to silicone about 3 together, but I'd like for there to be holes connecting one pot to the other so that my fish can swim in and out and all around the pots. Does anyone know how I can create holes without breaking them?

Oh, BTW I do have access to power and hand tools . Thank you!

20 gallon long: 3 adult Neolamprologus similis + about 11 fry of various ages; low light planted tank
20 gallon long:2 freshwater dwarf puffers (Puff Puff and Poofer); medium-light planted tank
10 gallon: 1 male betta named Wormy; low light planted tank
10 gallon: 1 male betta named Dante; low light planted tank
2, 5.5 gallon tanks that are currently empty (I see more fish on the horizon )

They make ceramic bits for power drills. These are the bits I've used when I've needed to drill holes into my pots. I bought a package of assorted sizes at Home Depot. I have no idea what I paid for them as I bought them a long time ago.
