I was wondering, if i were to add more driftwood would my PH level drop? I want to try and get my PH level around 7.5-7.8. If the driftwood is not true, what do i do then.
Driftwood should lower your PH slightly, it really depends on how much you add and what size your tank is. I've added driftwood and had my tank go down about .2
Driftwood is likely to lower is a bit and it's a natural, stable way to do it. Please don't use chemicals as they cause instabilities which are very harnful to the fish.
What is your current ph and what fish do you have? More often than not it's actually unnecessary to alter ph. Keeping it stable is far more important.
sure your fish will be fine...... dont worry about the ph.
stable ph is always better then a trying to get to the right ph and having it swing all over the place.
