Looking to get some plants!!

So I'm looking into getting some plants to be able support oto algae eaters, but I'm not sure what they(the plants) need to survive. Would someone be able to help me on this? I'm looking at getting a Corkscrew Vallisneria Plant and a Moneywort Plant.

Thanks in advance!

Hi, and welcome to Tropical Fish Keeping forum.

We have profiles of fish and plants, second tab from the left in the blue bar across the top of the page, or if the name is the same in posts as in the profile it will be shaded and you can click the name to see that profile, example: Corkscrew Vallisneria. Moneywort is not yet in the profiles.

That will tell you about the plant itself. For info on a natural planted tank, have a read of the "stickies" entitled "A Basic Approach to the Natural Planted Aquarium" at the head of the Aquarium Plants section of the forum. That will give you a general overview. I or others will be able to answer specific questions.

Something we all need to remember: The fish you've acquired was quite happy not being owned by you, minding its own business.
