Pretty any type that will work with your light(s). What size tank is this and what kind of light(s) do you have?

I haven't got one set up yet. I'm still trying to decide what should be put in the tank and it will be a 30g. I know it will have guppies but I'm trying to decide on what type if tetra and other fish can go in it. I wanted to add duckweed as a plant in it. But not sure what other plants.

A lot depends on what you want the tank to look like and how long you want to wait for that look to be achieved. It also depends on the water in your area. It is almost impossible to kill Anubias but they are slow growing. Fast growing plants include Water Wisteria, Bacopa, some swords, crypts as an example. There are plant profiles on this forum, read them and make up your own mind.

Nobody's life, liberty and happiness are safe when Congress is in session. Hallyx kindly reminded me that this statement is attributed to Mark Twain. Even more pertinent today then when he said it.

The lights you will be using will dictate what plants you can have more so then the fish you will be putting in there as long as its not cichlids. What kind of 30gallon is it? You know the dimensions?
