I am starting a 2 gallon small tank with a light in the hood (light will be turned off at night)
Is the little 5 watt bulb be enough to keep a plant alive? or will it turn to mush? it won't be near sunlight...
you will have to go with a low light applicationsuch as anubias nana or maybe a small java fern, but even then 5w might not be enough. its worth a try at least. even if it doesnt work out, youre looking at a $2 loss on the plant
if its not enough then try putting a lamp next to the tank, a relative of mine did this for a while when his bulb broke and his plants are huge! and youd have the tank light aswell so i rekon thhats ur best option.
