Are the loaches and DPs in the same tank? The DPS might have trouble getting to them first. When I get too many snails, I throw them in with my clown and yoyo loaches, they don't last long.
the loaches and dp's aren't in the same tank, but i've been putting the baby snails into the puffer tank and the larger ones into the loach tank. wow, it's interesting to see the loaches make a meal out of those poor snails (but they leave the nerites alone, for some reason). i'm just breeding them in a little critter keeper for now, we'll see if i can keep up with their voracious little appetites. they actually are excited to see me now that they understand I am their only source of food ; ) (excited meaning they come out of their corners to greet their food). yes, the loaches would be too much of a competitor with the dp's.
