Light for Riccia in a Nano

Hi Guys

(Please bear in mind I am in the UK)

I am going to set up a 12" W by 10" D by 10" H nano for my gf and I want to scape it. I have Riccia in mind as I like the look of it. I will be using Co2 so my question is, how much light would be sufficient for this? I looked at an Acradia Pod @ 9W which is suitable size wize but someone said this would not be enough to grow it.

Could someone ehlp me out on this please.

Thanks
Jimi

sounds okay, mostly because that plant doesn't really mind light much. It's hard to kill it:) 9W still sounds good for that size, though actually plants need lumen and kelvin, which are not really depending on the watts only, but for this plant, and for this size of tank it should be perfect.

Yeah, knew about the Lumen and Kelvin but cant seem to find any specs for this light anywhere. One guy who had it said his was really pink so that would be the typical arcadia tropical lamp but another guy had it and said his was really white so that sounds like the freshwater light.

They come with a light in them though so is it lucky dip?! lol

I have a Do!aqua tank similar to those dimensions with 14. I want to get a second fixture because the light I am using is for a ten gallon and I have to move the light back and forth to help the plants grow. I have glossostigma ludwigia repens and dwarf hairgrass. All of which are growing/carpeting nicely

38 gallon :
Pelvicachromis Taeniatus Nigerian Red not yet breeding pair
4 Pangio Kuhli
12 Hemmigrammus Bleheri
2 Botia Lohachata
1 Botia Straita
1 Ancistrus Sp.
6 Poecilia Reticulata

The Wet Spot Portland Oregon!!!!!!

ADA: Do!aqua Iwagumi 10 gallon size!
7 Clown Killies
7 Ghost shrimp
