Well I'm in negotiations...

Also considering breeding them myself....They seem to be relatively in demand.

I order most supplies online and make the trip to a GOOD LFS for fish.

Don't care how far away they are because I don't need livestock very often so it's worth the drive to get healthy, well cared for fish.

I agree that you should go with whoever knows the most, not who owns the store. My two preferences on where to buy fish are actually one of each. I work at PetSmart and so I know how well the fish at my particular store are cared for, so if I fall in love with something there of course I'll get it (the employee discount doesn't hurt, either). However, my store doesn't always have what I want (after we remodeled our african cichlid selection went to pieces) so I make a 45 minute drive to the place I like. It's the only store in my area that's completely 110% fish only, and they know more about every other place around put together. They're a small, family owned shop (a guy and his two sons) and they're just great.

Definitely go with who you like, not whether they're corporate or private.
