Well...Ok. I did a water test yesterday and it shows KH as in a low level (don’t know exactly what it was Im at work) Well.. Did some research and what I found is that KH is a buffer that basically keeps PH from going down in case if something goes wrong. Now ... you don’t want your PH go below 5 because then you are screwed.
My PH is 6.8
Tank 29.

The reason why I looked in to it in the first place is because I’m increasing Co2 levels in the water using simply No aeration during the day and turning on aeration only at night + on top I’m using Aquarium Co2 Vital that suppose to increase Co2 in water with out having Co2 system.

While I can't speak of raising hardness to do what you are looking to do here, I can tell you that adding some basic cleaned sea shells should up your hardness level.

Not knowing better, my son added some to his tank. When I checked it out, the hardness was through the roof (we already have hard water to begin with). Needless to say, the shells are out.

I would add natural ones that were found on a beach, not something purchased-never know what sort of chemicals are used in cleaning. Hopefully you live close enough to a beach or have some shells.
