kay its time for a little help!

my water is like... yellowy brown and i believe it was because of the driftwood... its been about a month or so since it has been in the tank.. and also there is like... brown algae that forms on the plastic plants? but gets easily shaken off

i put a pleco in there because he was cramped with the turtle and the drift wood was growing mad with algae

there is also foam at the top of the tank.. it doesnt cover the whole water surface jsut small parts.

oh yea, and it smells kinda ... bad

any idea how i can fix this? if u need pictures... ill try

temp is 24C

ts hard to do the testing especially becuz of ammonia cuz the water looks yellow already in the tube.. so i cant see any change?

the pH is at 7.6 and nitrite at 0

i also has a male krib in there and he is doing great so i would think things are fine.. its just.. icky brown water and algae stuff

Foamy, smelly water usually triggers bad water quality in my head. Excess nutrients...inproper filter maintainance and tank cleaning, traces of ammonia... How often do you feed?

If I were you, I would perform frequent water changes, cut back on feeding, make sure filters are properly maintained, and wait it out to see if things get better

Lets see an overall tank shot.

Charcoal will help with the color of the water...

Try not feeding for 3-5 days, with frequent 10-20% water changes with the the addition of charcoal.
