Got my API test kit today and just ran my first water test.

Ammonia - Looks like somewhere between 0 and .25. Much more yellow than green.
Nitrite - 0 Definitely blue.
Nitrate - 0 Definitely yellow.

I'll test again in a few days.

with all the corys you wouldnt have room for the gouramis, the corys will be fine in a trio and will still school, if you really wanted gouramis id go with something a little bit more gentle like the Honey Sunsets

Thanks, Noocha. I'm skipping the gouramis and sticking with corys and tetras for now. May get a few shrimp if I can find some. Also, snails which are starting to show up in my tank thanks to them hitchhiking on the live plants I added. :o)

To manage the snails just get a couple of assasin snails, theyll eat them also the dont multiply to quick so is a good solution. Also the snails are good to have so dont worry to much
