Just bought a new tank...need help

I just set up my new tank and the people i bought it from didn't really explain how to set things up...i think i put the pump in correctly but it seems to be too far into the tank. I don't want to put any water into it unless i'm sure that the motor is submergable. I bought a odyssea B28 tank and filtration system. Thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome aboard.

Can you pls show us pics of the pump?:) Your pump sounds like a powerhead. If so, it is submersible.:) I have difficulty understanding your post about placing the pump correctly and 'far from the tank'.
