Not a problem to me. Just be economical to get pails of dechlorinator or don't put chlorine and other chemicals in your water.

Wow, that tank is huge!

I think it would be cool to do a tank that big but decorate it exactly like your house (but in plastic of course). How tripy would that be? To look over and see an extension of your house under water!

THANKS FOR THE GREAT POST!!! :D :D :D

Yeah, has me dribbling...

I've often thought that it'd be nice to have a really big tank (perhaps not this big, but i can dream) and not to fill it with just a few massive fish, interesting as they are, but to have loads of smaller ones. That way you could have proper schools of fish that you only have an 3 and 4's in your average tank. Imagine how cool a school of 200 Guppies would look, or tetras, or barbs, or silver dollars, or, or , or anything! With plenty of space for them all to swim around together, too. And you could have a whole load of Corys on the bottom, or a proper size school of Clown loaches. I think it would provide a much more natural environment for those fish that naturally school and it would be interesting to see thier behaviour differences from that we see in the usual size tanks. Obviously you'd have to be as careful with your community selection as you do with a smaller tank, but it'd be facinating to watch. Or you could go with a rift cichlid tank and fill it with hundreds of small caves and that way the traditional ciclid territory issues might not be such a problem, and you''d have space for bigger one's and smaller ones to have territory apart from each other. Might cost a bit to stock though!

I'm not knocking this dude at all, he has an awesome setup and some really lovely fish that would be hard to keep well any other way, its just that there are so many possibilities i'd love to see them all done!

I'm liking Mr todd's idea too, although i can see myself getting very confused with that kind of setup, especially a few pints down...

I agree! It's very rare to see a huge tank filled with lots of little fish - it would really be lovely and the fish would love it!

I always thought it'd be awesome to buy a house with a swimming pool and turn the whole pool into a tropical saltwater reef and scuba dive in it

Now there's an idea Mike... Gotta make it an olympic size one though, just to make sure you've got enough space to house everything!
