"Inherited" snail question

On the heels of adding some floating plants, I apparently inherited some snail eggs that so far has turned into about a dozen or more tiny snails. At first there were only a couple, then we began seeing more, much smaller ones suggesting different hatch rates.

Are there any potential concerns with these 'invaders' or is it only a problem if (too) many become present???

just watch feeding quantities and you should be fine. However, some snails, most ramshorns, are known to eat plants when hungry, if those are the ones you have, you may want to consider getting rid of them.

Well the floating plants that brought them in are long gone - some just turned brown and were removed, the Platys pretty much took care of the rest. The snails won't harm my plastic plants

Well, then you just got yourself some algae eaters and scrap clean-up crew. They will be harmless. However, they do add to your bio-load, so be careful about how big their population gets.
