If you got an aquarium for Christmas, read this!

If you happened to get a new aquarium for Christmas, and came here looking for help, please read on...

Every year, about 1 week from today, internet forums are swamped with people wondering why their new fish died. Every year we have the same discussions with new fishkeepers, explaining how aquariums work and why their fish died in their new aquariums.

Please, if you received an aquarium for Christmas, DO NOT put fish in it yet. Start a new thread and tell us about your aquarium. How big is it? What type and brand of filter does it come with? If you take this simple step, we can save you and your children a lot of heartache!

Yes, i got a 20 gallon this year... and I am going to get a testing kit today and once I get home, I'm going to start Cycling it.

<--Hehe, that's my puppy, Charlie, before he turned moose. He was attacking his teddy-bear, whom I called Mr.Snuggles, with one true possessed look on his face. Many days later, he ate Mr. Snuggles. RIP Snugg Snugg!

P.S. that's my grandpa's knee in the upper right corner.
