Idea for Setup in 10g - Harlequins
I pretty much have everything I need to start cycling my tank this weekend.
Assuming this will take a good few weeks I was at a few LFS checking out what fish they had an offer and was quite taken by some Harlequin Rasbora's and also some Japonica Shrimp.
The advice at the shop was to keep the Harlequin's in groups of at least 6 - does this sound reasonable and also would 6 be ok in 10g tank (that will be planted).
My question regarding the shrimp is just out of interest: most of the pictures/information I see on them online have them as either fairly transparent or a whitish-grey colour, but the shrimp at this shop were quite a bright red. Are they likely still Japonica shrimp
? They were tiny little things but incredibly amusing to watch - they can neither swim nor walk efficiently it seems, being brilliantly stuck somewhere between the two.
