Yes, I took down my 29 cherry shrimp tank and reset it up in a 20 long.

The height wasnt great for my plants and the top of the tank looked far too empty for me to think it was aesthetically pleasing.

Also 20 longs are my new favorite tanks, I plan on getting at least 3 more
2 more shrimp tanks and one for Caesar the crayfish, destroyer of worlds.

Alright, what I started with:

Not terribly pretty but not too bad o3o
Also lol, you can see dinosaur rock on the right

and now it looks like this!

I love how it looks and my vals are longer then the tank itself X) I also found a ton of baby plants!

Right now it houses a handful of malaysian trumpet snails, one mystery snail, about 60-80 cherry shrimp and 3 otos whom im on the fence with keeping or buying a few more since petsmart has them on sale for a dollar :O

Once my shrimp have their numbers up, I'll be looking into micro fish to put in there, possibly a few celestial pearl danios or something like that.

ALSO
Was greeted with a surprise!

MY FIRST BERRIED SNOWBALL SHRIMP
YES!

It looks good. I am and always was a fan of planted tanks that have plants that reach the surface then fold over. Very nice.

Love the new setup! I agree with the duckweed, its a good riddance. I like it in smaller tanks but otherwise I end up killing it . . .

Mind me asking what types of plants you have? I would love to get an arrangement of plants but want to get ones that work in the sand substrate like you have there. Thanks! Very nice tank. By the way having plants close to the tank top do you ever find the shrimp out of the tank?

oooo gotta think about that, I cut out a lot of the ones I had originally since I think I had about 13 different species of plants in it XD

Right now I have
Hygrophilia
Amazon Sword
Vallisneria
Anubias

Ill most likely be adding later:
Vesuvius
Dwarf Sag

I have yet to find a shrimp out of my tank ^^
