Huge difference in water clarity since planting

Its been a while since iv started a new aquarium up, the last one i planted pretty much within 48hours of filling, this one on the other hand has been cycling for 8 weeks, 6 weeks fishless and seeded from my other tank and 2 weeks with fish in. Well today i planted it and the difference it has made to the water!

Was already clean and clear but within 4 hours of the plants going in the water disappeared from view so to say, well apart from the bubbles from the under substrate filter, and the tricling from the cannister filter you wouldnt notice there was any in it!

To those of you lovely people that are a little bit unsure of whether to change from fake to real i really cannot express enough how much of a difference real plants make! My rummynose that are in there have never been so bright and neither has my CRS!

Its like going from an old tube tv to hd!!

Dont delay real plants today!!!

Iv done things a little different this time. As stated iv got an under substrate filter, on top of that running the whole of the aquarium i have quite large gravel tha came with the aquariums when they were purchased.

On the left and right sides there is an aquasoil that i purchased

TETRA PLANT COMPLETESUBSTRATE SUBSTRATE

On top of that is a fine black gravel. In the middle is just a fine sand, i got all the substrate bar the large gravel off ebay, set me back roughlt 75 gbp.

Plant wise

Lmnophila sessiliflora
Llopsis brasiliensis
Hydrocotyle verticillata
Crinum natans
Hygrofila difformis
Echinodorus ozelot
echindorus quadricostatus

Also have some Amzon Fogbit on order that hasnt arrived yet

For some background reading on simple planted tanks, have a look at the series "A Basic Approach to the Natural Planted Aquarium" stickied at the head of the Aquarium Plants section here.
