A net, food, and patience.

This is how I lurk

Have you tried using two nets, or one net and your hand, to corral them against the glass and then scoop them up?

I am trying to set a trap or something like that. I know how hard it is to catch 12 neons when i can see them... I don't want to do that with three shrimp witch are hard to see

You could also try what has worked for me. I take the net, put the food they like the most into the net, place it in the tank at night, in the morning I have shrimp in the net. If you put the net off into a corner it should keep the other fish from bothering with it. Worth a try. My shrimp will crawl into anything that contains beefheart.

If you don't stand up for something you'll fall for anything...

Are you sure it's the shrimp eating the eggs and not the rams? Rams I have kept had no trouble running off other fishes with exception of the sterbai corydoras who were very persistent.I would think they would have no trouble dispatching the shrimp from nesting area but have had rams that repeatedly ate their eggs within 24 hours for my water does not suit their needs with respect to hatching or raising fry.

The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.
