Here's a poll, just for fun (posted for the n-th time because there's some sort of bug with the forum software) asking a simple question, how often do you find yourself sticking your hand inside your aquarium? The reason can by anything, from perfecting your aquascape to routine water changes. Just curious, becuase I've been finding reasons to go in there every couple days to do something, and wanted to know if it's just "new tank honeymoon period" or if it's gonna really stay like this for good!

When ever I clean my tanks...so every 2 weeks.

During water changes, if plant pruning/trimming is required which it usually is. With new tanks, may be more frequent if the aquascape needs arranging, or a new plant needs planting, though I try to do these things at the water change to avoid disrupting the tank too much. Fish will (or should) usually get used to the aquarist being in the tank a bit, though one wants to keep this minimal. Wash hands thoroughly before (no soap this time, just water) and after.

Yea, I find it's a "new tank thing." After you get it nice you kind of don't want to bug it too much anymore.
My shrimp have gotten more than used to me, one jumped up on my hand and starting cleaning me!

Depends on what exactly you mean by "sticking your hand in the tank" xD I'll stick my fingers in it because I enjoy hand-feeding my tetras every once in a while (my black neons are so cute <3 They have absolutely no fear and will nibble on my fingers as well), but I'm normally not in more than that unless I'm doing water changes and vacuuming the gravel or rearranging the decor.

I'm in it enough that the fish are used to me messing around with things, but it's not what I'd call a daily thing.

It's still a daily thing because my loaches keep uprooting plants. Though now I've been tying everything down to rocks so it's less and less.

I'm usually in my tanks about onas a day..my 45 is cycling, so there's the w/c I do everyday, but it's good to get your fish used to you...my guppies bite at my hand..they are so hungry!!
