welcome to the forum

It depends on the size of the goldfish :)

What are you feeding it?

This probably won't help much but, I've read that you should feed little and often. To me, this says about five medium size flakes at a time. The frequency mentioned is up to five times a day. Apparently, goldfish don't have stomachs to store food. So, they use it and lose it fairly quickly. I prefer to use the "crisps" rather than flakes. The fish seem to like them more and, due to their relatively uniform size, it's easier to gauge what you're feeding.
