best way i would think is the following

stand: heavy duty and low as possible(stop the tank toppling)
tank: decor tied down with cable ties(rocks, wood)
tank: acylic not glass tank would not splinter like glass if stressed

thats about all i can think of :D

If you have a good LFS around, ask someone there what they do in the shop and at home.

Put a bit of carpet felt under the tank. Don't put it straight onto a wooden or metal stand. Whether it's glass or acrylic, it will act as a bit of a shock absorber.

You could try using a larger piece of furniture for the stand. Something with a larger base than the aquarium itself so if it rocks it won't roll!

Also don't put it under anything that will fall and make a fish-kabob
