How do I clean something like this?

This used to be in my beardie tank but now I want to use it under water. It's plastic made to resemble wood.

It has quite a few nooks and crannies and I was wondering how I would go about cleaning it to get all of the beardie germs off of it.

I soaked it in the bathtub with hot water, I'm afraid to put boiling water on it because it's made out of some sort of plastic.

thanks guys!

Ha ha where do you keep finding all this stuff LOL ?

Anything that i think needs a good wash i just place in the dishwasher, instead of soap i use salt or vinegar. . . . comes out squeeky clean

Lmao, I know I keep coming up with all of this random stuff.

I moved out of my mothers house about 4 years ago to go to college and while visiting recently I found a box full of old items that used to be in my bearded dragon's habitat.

I like the sound of the dishwasher trick! Any soap residue left over from the last clean won't do anything?

Nah there shouldnt be any soap residue if the last cycle was on rinse after the wash. Even is there was then just make sure that you put it on rinse when its in.

I clean everything in the dishwasher. . . rocks, driftwood, filter parts . . . everything but dishes !!!

Who uses the dish washer to wash dishes? Judging by the picture I took of the cave I made, I most certainly don't. Haha.

Thanks for the tips!

I use a toothbrush and kosher salt to scrub anything tank related when I want to reuse it. Seems to work fine for me.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.
