How to clean Playsand for a large tank
Hi All, just wandering how you guys are cleaning your "playsand" (not pool filter sand which is already cleaned) in a large quantity. I just spend about 3 - 4 hours on one bag of 44 lbs, and i think i am not even finished with it (it stgill fogs up in my 5 gallon pale i am using to clean it), and i still have to do 1 to 2 more on my 75 gallon tank. Any help, with images or videos or anything basically would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

The more you wash, the less clouding and tanks will usually clear within a few hours
The most important medication in your fish medicine cabinet is.. Clean water.
I just did a 50 pound bag in 1 hour with a 5 gallon bucket, maybe your sand is dirtier but mine seemed to go pretty quick, I didn't let it settle when I washed it too much so I probably lost 2-3 pounds of sand but with how cheap it is who cares. It will keep fogging up just a bit no matter what you do because of the suspended particles at some point you can see clean enough through it and say its good. Also don't know if you poured the whole thing in the bucket or not but its easier to do smaller loads.
