Talking How to Acclimate our Fish?

This is the first episode of many more to come of Aquahound's Dirty Little Secrets. This show is all about using one of the two ways of properly acclimating your investments. I personally prefer using the drip method over the float method, but I thought I would show both ways :)The purpose of acclimation to take the water that aquatic life is in and match it to the water parameters of your aquarium water. Enjoy!

In this episode of Aquahound's Dirty Little Secrets I will be covering acclimation using the drip method. This method of acclimating your fish and invertebrates is a very slow but efficient way to acclimating. The drip method is by far a better way of creating a less stressful transition to your tank compared to that of the float bag method. Enjoy!

Thanks for checking out my thread and feel free to visit my channel for more videos on the hobby. Leave a comment if I missed anything

Thanks for taking the time to make these vids! Its always helpful to be able to see this sort of thing when you're new. Sometimes the written word isn't *quite* enough to give the complete picture. Acclimation is so important, and I feel like it's a step that many people skip over entirely - apart from matching temperature - and it can really mean the difference between life and death for some of the more sensitive fish, especially when they've been shipped from somewhere that has water parameters that are far different from what might be in your home tank(s). Speaking of tanks, yours are gorgeous - the ones I've seen so far, anyway. Keep up the good work!

Hey thank you very much and I agree, when I first started off I loved watching peoples' videos on their successes in the hobby and it helped me out a lot. That's what kind of motivated me to dedicate my channel to the hobby and sharing what I know about the hobby with the folks. Thanks again
