Hood for a 20G long?

Hey, i'm planning on getting a 20G long within the next week and need to know what kind of hoods i can have on it since it does not come with one. I'd prefer things i can buy in-store and not online, as i do not want anything breaking in transit and me having to pay for the shipping of the replacement. Any cheap ideas? I'm already planning on spending over $60 on the tank, filter, heater, etc. And i can't afford anymore (being that i'm only 16 without a job) Any suggestions please?

You should be able to find 30" glass tops at your LFS. I bought mine for about $18 but I ordered it online. I had an extra 10 gallon hood with light so I have that sitting on top of my glass top of my 20 long. Of course, if you want live plants you'll have to spend more on a proper lighting fixture.

My 20 gal long uses a 24" hood. I bought a glass cover ($20) and a 24" incandescent strip light $24. I am using 2 13 watt 6,400k screw in florescent bulbs I bought in Lowes for less then $8.00.

I lined the entire interior of the fixture with polished aluminum Mylar tape.

My tank (4 months old) is flourishing!
