I had forgotten about possible power outages. I live in Southern California and every summer we have the usual heat wave. It usually lasts from two to six days but once the mercury hits 90 anyone who has air conditioning, fans, etc. turns them up fullblast and out goes the power. It doesn't last long but I'm sure the fish think it does!
(Funny how we beachniks think 90 is hot...obviously none of us have spent much time in the desert or the mid-west. We are a bunch of pansies!)
I've got a generator that takes two men to lift and it is loud, loud, loud.
I'm sure my neighbors would revolt.
Looking into the battery back up is a great idea. Thanks for the tip!
