Put in some coffee cups on their side and they will hide in the dark ones

just add lots of obstacles and small places. if there are places for the fry to hide where the parents cant get them, at least a few will survive. when you get a chance I would suggest getting a breeding net. Penn Plax has a good one

How do you net them? It is very difficult to even see them let alone net them. I got a surprise spawn of platys. I didn't know they were there until several showed up swimming free. They were able to hide in the jungle in the tank I guess.

Well a breeding net just hangs on the side of your tank as an extra tank.

As for how to capture them, it's much easier if you lift or take out the decor for the time, and just look closely, they're good hiders, if you have gravel then sometimes they'll hide in the cracks!

it definitely takes a while. I don't like putting my females into breeding nets or anything to give birth so I have to catch the survivors out of my 29 gallon, and it takes me a good 5 minutes per fry I see. It takes some patience and you have to be able to focus on one fry at a time. :)
Taking decor out would most likely help some.
