Maybe that is the wrong water then. I'll have to measure the tap water with the api kit, but I'm pretty sure it's on the acidic side. We haven't had any issues with hard water though.

As far as my api test results.. I'm showing the ph in the tank to be about 6.8, possibly less. The ammonia is at .5 ppm, nitrate is about 40 ppm and my nitrate is still outrageous. It honestly looks fushia. :/ I'm worried for the frogs. I might have to move them, but I don't have another cycled tank. It's hard to tell if they're impacted or not because they're pretty docile anyways. The snails seem happy though.
