Depending upon the fish, using salt at the level needed to deal with ich could kill the fish. Raising the temp to 85F or higher on its own will help as it speeds up the ich cycle and if you raise the temp even higher it will klill ich. Provided the fish can manage, again depends upon species.
My suggestion for ich medication is CopperSafe, plus the 85F temp. This is completely safe (the CopperSafe I mean) for all fish. The higher temp is OK depending upon fish species, which you haven't given us. If they won't, then leaving the temp normal and using CS will work though slower.
Another good medication is Aquarisol. It is stronger than CS and some fish may be bothered.
