Welcome to the site. Will be nice to have another experienced person.(Not saying I'm experienced.. I'm not really lol.)

Yeah.. with a 500g+ tank.. I'd think I'd go scuba diving lol.

Out of curiosity... What are the dimensions on a 560 gallon?

  • Mystery Snail
  • Ghost Shrimp-2
  • Guppy-1
  • Ramshorns

It is 8ft long x 32in wide x 4ft tall, Its not a good pic but in my avatar you can see both tanks.

I also put rocks on top of the wood to keep it from floating.

So I would assume from your use that the cheap walmart plant bulbs do work?

Yep, you save a lot of money with them but I would not use them with live plants though I never tried.
