Heater size for a 2.5 shrimp tank?

I need a winter heater for my shrimp tank. It sits at 68 F, which unfortunately means no baby shrimpies. What is a good, inexpensive heater ideal for the tank? 10 or 25 watt?
I hope to spend no more than 10 dollars, if possible.

What shrimps are you keeping? a 25w adjustable heater generally works pretty well.

I've used them for jars and all kinds of other small volumes of water

RCS and a ghost shrimp. They aren't as active since the cold started and stopped breeding.
What brands do you recommend?

The hydor theos are nice. I use the hagen elites... which have been discontinued :( Also if you go on ebay and look for 25w heaters, you can also find the ones from china that are like $5 ea.

I've actually had really good luck with the Petco 25w adjustable/submersibles. I've got a few that have been running for over 2 years now with no issues.

Animal testing is a terrible idea; they get all nervous and give the wrong answers.

A 25W adjustable heater should fit your needs. I've used Hydor Theo heaters with good success. I have three and have not had any problems. I don't have any experience with the heaters from China so can't say anything about them.

Aqueon heaters have a great reputation but cost about twice the Hydor heaters.
