What are potentially dangerous levels of Nitrite? Honestly I'm not concerned too much right now because I did a partial water change to this tank today and all the fish (5 flames and two bloodfins) look very healthy.
I believe that I am experiencing a mini-cycle in my ten gallon (I recently moved a bunch of flames from my 55 gallon to the ten. I was using the flames to cycle the 55).
Right now my Ammonia is 0 PPM.
Nitrite is around 1.0 PPM
Nitrate is sitting at a solid 10 PPM.
I know flames are durable little guys, which is why I chose them because if the water gets a little "eh" I can just do a slight change and not worry so much about it.
Also, what are dangerous levels of ammonia? I know around 40 is the upper end of Nitrates and you shouldn't allow it to go much farther than that. But what of ammonia? I'm guessing a very small amount, but I'd rather get a number than my guess.
