If the rocks are big enough one idea is to drill a hole through the whole stack of rocks and thread an acrylic rod through them. Stick the acrylic rod into a flat rock/tile so that the whole thing stands. (like the baby toy where you put plastic rings on top of each other over a plastic rod). They have used this method in the huge marine aquarium at penn state. This way you don't have to worry about leaching any chemicals in the water and the structure can be steady. You can get some cool overhangs and caves without any special efforts! Keep us posted!
