Interesting in the sense that I have not seen cichlids and barbs kept together. I have seen many strange combinations of fish , so I don't want to say that it can't work. You seem like you're very attentive to your tank so I don't have to say be careful and if any fish are being harmed, please separate them. If you can get them to live together, your tank will be stunning with large active tigerbarbs and bright, inquisitive cichlids.

Please keep us posted on your progress.

P.S. your platy doesn't stand a chance with labs and tigerbarbs.

P.s. woke up this mornong happiest iv been with this tank tiger barbs all coasting around towards to bottom cichilids coasting in the mid level abd platy at the bottom. How ever one platy shoals with tyw cichlids and they dont mind. I did loose a platy over night but from the fish store to here he didnt seem right he was found dead on the bottom and he was peaceful no bite marks. I think I got this. The colors are awesome
