TIP: There was a big hubub a while back about tropical fish centerpieces for the tables at wedding receptions. Part of the after affect was "What do we do with the fish now?" I know a couple who kept all the fish as their "wedding tank." It is decorated in all white with a photo collage covering the entire back. The pictures are of their courtship, wedding, and after. They keep it in the living room and she gets quite a quick out of updating the photos, and they have an active reminder of their wedding day.

Granted the fish aren't from your wedding day, but giving her free reign to plaster pictures may loosen her up expecially cause you're going to be very honest and say "Honey, I'd like to have more pictures of us around the house.... I have a great idea...."
