Awesome fish but you need a really big tank for one. Need dim light and a good tube/hiding spot. Super active at night :). Mine loves blood worms, algae wafers, brine shrimp and shrimp pellets.

You could get away with a 90 gallon but I would suggest a 125 for more space. They get long and cant turn too good.

Do you feed yours during the day at all, or just at night?

I'm fascinated by ghost knives. Is I had a big enough tank I'd get one.

During the day is fine but you have to use subdued lighting for them to come out in the open.

If you get them used to eating during the day then they will eat then. Otherwise they will eat mostly at night when all the lights are off. Mine eats at night and goes crazy. He will eat during the day though if food is given.
