Geode Book Holders

I was at busch gardens today and they had a bunch of Those geode rocks cut into segments for holding books between them. I was wondering if they would make decent tank decorations as they were already 50% off and then an additional 50% off so i had to pick a set up cause i figured they'd look cool in my room either way... (In tank or out) So what do you guys think? Good for a tank?

The rule with rocks in the tank is if they bubble when I put them in pure vinegar then they will change the chemistry of the tank. Do the vinegar test and if it passes I think it is okay to put in the tank. The only other thing you need to watch for is sharp edges. Long and delicate fins can be cut on sharp edges. What types of fish do you have in the tank?

If i were to put it in the tank now it would go in with diamond tetra's cory's a male firemouth (i believe as he has the long flowing "tails" on his fins) and a BN pleco. Though im looking at doing a 75 gallon tank which the focus would probably be on a sev if i did that.

I do believe that many of those are dyed to achieve the colors.
You may want to soak those for a bit and make sure nothings going to leach out of them.
