Frozen mosquito larvae

An outside tub in which I soak driftwood has more mosquito larvae than I can feed my various tanks.
I could collect the surplus larvae, drain them on a coffee filter and freeze them to feed in the Fall and Winter. Has anyone tried this?

Thanks,
Wayne

I have done this several times. I just make sure to rise the larvae relly well. I used the ice cube trays for mini cubes. After they are frozen put in a zip lock bag.

Fish have relished mosquito larvae since before William T. Innes recommended them as fish food.

One more thing I forgot on my previous post. Be sure the container you use to hatch the larvae is very pure. Never had any kind of chemicals in it such as soap, fertilizer, pesticide and so on.
