I wouldn't put only two female bettas together. Female bettas can be treated in much the same way as African rift lake cichlids; if you have only two the more dominant one will bully the other but if you have say six or more fish the aggression will be spread out more evenly. A 20g tank could definitely work as a betta sorority though.

yeah im trying to make it as natural looking as possible. i also want to put a big piece of drift wood and a treasure ship in it

i think i made my final decision. what do you think: 1 dwarf gourami, couple angel fish, and a couple platies. also 1 clown pleco. i cant have ghost shrimp, the other fishes will eat it . is it too much fish? also the aquarium has been cycling for 2 weeks it's halfway through. please reply.

You could put schoaling fish like Tetra's.

Well there are different type of tetras. tehy could go with Platys and other schoaling fishes. Betta could be also in the list. It really depends what you want to have and what is compatible together. Are you planning to put real plant, silk ones or none?
