Question Fluval x04 vs x05 series?

I'm going to be setting my 55 gal up for turtles sometime in the next few months, and I don't want to filter it with my Eheim 2217 due to the fact that it's a pain in the butt to clean. Right now I keep a sponge pre-filter on it for fish and nothing but biological media in it, but I'll want the big pieces of turtle waste to be sucked into a strainer.

So I've settled on a Fluval x04 or x05 series filter, because they have the instant disconnects and internal sponge pre-filter that's so easy to access and clean often. However, I've looked around (Hagen's site being useless,) and I can't seem to see any major difference between the x04 series and x05 series filters? What am I missing?

[Edit: D'oh! I see there's a turtle forum. I will ask there, too...]

Thanks!

The 05 series has a better flow rate, better aqua-stop shut off (less water fallout when disconnecting the hose head) and flow control lever above the aqua-stop lever.
