Fluorescent Lighting

I have two fluorescent lights in my 10 gallon tank. I also have some live plants both grown and in the bulbs currently but are going to be growing in my tank. I know the fish need lighting during the day. Would keeping my light on at night be a good idea? I would just not use the light during the day if I could keep the lights on in the hood on all night. Would this be good for the growing and grown live plants as well?

No! Fish must have dark time to sleep, relax, calm down and rest. My wife watches tv late into the night so I have to place a cover over the tank. Plants most likely need down time also.

Agree, and you need a fairly regular schedule of day/night in the aquarium, both for fish and plants. The "night" must be total darkness.
