Fish Tank Success (Hopefully)

Hey Everyone,

I'm new to the forum, its good to be on board. I have just moved out of my house with my parents and have decided to set up my own tank.

I am not a complete newbie when it comes to fish, but definetly not an expert.

My tank is around 35G.

Last night I added the gravel and filled it with water and the water is now absolutley filthy. I rinsed and washed the gravel as much as I could but obviously not enough.

Im going to give it 2 90% water changes in a moment and see if I can get it clear.

I am also taking pictures of the tank as it progresses and when its a bit further advanced i will post them with a bit of a journal.

Looking forward to talking with everyone

Dont be too scrupulous about getting the water perfectly clear. Its normal for some stubborn dust to get mixed up when you first fill it. If you have your filter running, it should clear up within a few hours, at the most a day or so.

And welcom to the forum

Thanks for the replies.

I did a 90% water change. and it came up about a milion percent better. Still somewhat hazy however, I have turned the filter on now will see what it looks like in a couple of hours.
