i have heard that freeze-dried bloodworms are bad for fish? is this true? i have livebearers and cories
Hmm, all I know is that my fish love them, especially my betta. I have learned, however, that buying the expensive brand is much better than the store brand. He wouldn't eat the cheap ones, but loves the expensive. What I have heard, though, is that bloodworms (even the frozen ones) can cause digestive upsets in some cichlids, and not to feed them too often.
You know what the definition of hobby is: something of interest that is going to cost you lots of money!

Freeze dried BW are not bad, but they just do not contain as many nutrients as frozen or even live BW. Keep in mind, dried bloodworms will always float. The more aggressive fish that like to eat at the surface will get more food, compared to other fish that only search for food in the middle of bottom of the tank.
